MAIN STUDY
Main study 1
Dynamic fracture process experiment and analysis for geological materials
Research content
- laboratory and field experiments are carried out to research the strength, deformation behavior and fracture process of materials. Experimental research on dynamic fracture process of geological materials at high speed impact using Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar(SHPB)
Main study 2
Development of dynamic fracture simulation technique for geological materials
Research content
- Analysis and study of rock fracture process under high-speed and high-load conditions that are difficult to observe. Study of rock fracture behavior under various loading conditions using in-house code DFPA 3D and commercial software such as LS-Dyna and AUTODYN
Main study 3
3D Mine Design (Mineral resource & reserve assessment)
Research content
- Determine the amount of mineral resources buried in the basement and the economic value of that amount. Conducts feasibility assessment of mine business and conducts three-dimensional mine modeling to evaluate the amount of reserves and resources
Main study 4
Study on the comminution of Minerals and wastes utilizing electric pulse power
Research content
- Concentration of stored electric energy is concentrated in a part, and comminution experiment is performed by utilizing compression and molding process and insulation breakdown inside the insulator
